What type of business do you want to start?

Do you have any regulators?

If you are planning to start a business in a regulated industry you will need to ensure that you are compliant. If you are not compliant, opening your doors will be a challenge.

In Ontario every business must have a Privacy Policy that outlines why you are collecting private information and what you plan to use the information for.

Do you have client and employee contracts?

It is very important for any business that plans to employ people in Ontario to have employment agreements in place. These agreements must clearly define the terms of employment. There are many different ways that you can structure an individual’s employment and this structure will determine your obligation to the employee and potential liability.
